Job Summary:

Opis Renewable Services Inc. is seeking a skilled Battery Energy Storage Field Service Technician with experience in Utility Scale BESS, as well as expertise in inverter and transformer systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of battery storage energy systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Responsibilities:

- Under the leadership and guidance of the team leader, install and commission battery energy storage systems (BESS) and inverters/transformers in accordance with manufacturer requirements and industry standards.

- Perform preventive maintenance activities, including on-site inspection of DC modules, sensor testing, battery pack voltage measurement, routine maintenance, and ad-hoc maintenance tasks.

- Conduct cold and hot commissioning of DC modules, and complete all associated DC wiring and cabling.

- Carry out corrective maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure continuous system functionality and minimize downtime.

- Manage component maintenance, mass retrofits, commissioning, and troubleshooting, including work on inverters, temperature control systems, fire protection systems, and other related subsystems.

- Monitor system performance, generate reports, and escalate issues when needed.

- Maintain accurate records of BESS, inverter, and transformer servicing, maintenance, and upkeep.

- Perform inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of liquid cooling systems to ensure proper thermal management of BESS.

- Manage spare parts inventory and participate in warehousing operations as needed.

- Adhere strictly to safety procedures, health regulations, and all applicable company policies to ensure a safe and organized work environment.

- Complete all required work record documents in a timely and accurate manner.

Qualifications:

- Fluent in both Mandarin and English

- Must be able to travel to regional locations as needed.

- High school or higher degree, with a preference for a background in electrical subjects.

- Relevant experience as a field service technician or in a similar role, with specific knowledge of Utility Scale BESS and Inverter/Transformer systems.

- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. A forklift operator's license would also be advantageous.

- Proficiency in using electrical tools.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Capable of lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds, climbing and descending stairs and ladders, and working outdoors.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
