Maintenance Tech- 3rd Shift

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Performs repairs in accordance with Company Safety and OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) requirements.

- Performs preventive maintenance inspection (PM); diagnose, repair, and rebuild major equipment/components including but not limited to balers, conveyors, hydraulic power packs, eddy currents, electro-magnetic belts, optical sorters, diverters, compressors, trash compactors, motors, glass breakers, wire tie systems, fans, pumps, forklifts, and building equipment.

- Establishes and adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules and advises leadership if additional work is needed or cannot be completed within the Standard Repair Times.

- Inspects the quality of third-party repairs and or rebuilds.

- Recommends measures to improve production, equipment performance and product quality.

- Safely operates tools and equipment needed during the repair and servicing of equipment.

- Diagnose defects and repair a variety of equipment.

- Estimate time and materials required to perform major repairs.

- Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.

- Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

- High School diploma or GED.

- Three (3) or more years of mechanical experience.

- Must have own tools appropriate for position.

- Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include nights and weekends to support operations and the needs of the facility.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

- Knowledge of all tools required to perform repairs and maintenance on equipment.

- Ability to follow schedules, instructions, technical manuals and maintenance guidelines, and other procedures associated with the maintenance of the company equipment.

- Knowledge of OSHA and other state and federal regulations.

- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.

- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operation, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.

- Excellent analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects.

- Ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example: two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting or standing.

- Knowledge of proper lifting techniques.
