Maintenance Lead

Job Summary: Maintenance / Mechanic will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in a Foundry setting. Troubleshooting and repairing equipment when needed. Performing PM when required. Operating forklift when needed. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, will have strong attention to detail, be able to work independently, and have excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

- Troubleshoot and repair downed equipment.

- Perform PM on plant machinery and equipment.

- Follow written and verbal instructions.

- Manage inventory of parts to repair equipment in plant.

- Operate foundry equipment, including forklifts (Company will train).

- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance department.

- Read and follow manuals, blueprints, and other written instructions.

- Use equipment, including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and plumbing tools.

- Reports any issues to upper management.

- Assist with other foundry tasks as needed.

- Good Attendance record.

- Must be mechanically inclined.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Prior experience in a maintenance position.

- Ability to operate equipment, including forklifts.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.

- Be able to read and write English (necessary).

- Must have good math skills.

- Must have valid driver’s license with clean record.

- Be able to pass a background check.

Physical Demands: The Maintenance / Mechanic will be required to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods of time. The position may also require bending, stooping, and reaching. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.

Work Environment: The Maintenance / Mechanic will work in a foundry setting, which may include exposure to loud noises, dust, and other environmental factors. The position may also require working in cold or hot temperatures.

Salary: The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience.
