Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team and ensure the seamless operation of our facilities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of electrical systems, from low voltage controls to high voltage power distribution, across diverse construction and renovation projects. As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be instrumental in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical equipment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. - Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage circuits.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics, blueprints, and testing tools such as ohmmeters and power tools.
- Install, repair, and upgrade electrical wiring, fixtures, panels, and control systems in commercial or industrial settings.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and construction blueprints to accurately execute projects.
- Work on renovation projects involving electrical system upgrades or modifications within existing structures.
- Utilize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting automated equipment and control systems.
- Ensure all work complies with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and safety regulations.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and construction site experience to complete tasks efficiently while maintaining safety protocols.
- Collaborate with construction teams on site to coordinate electrical installations aligned with project timelines.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance and future reference.
- Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong background in electrical systems maintenance.
- Extensive knowledge of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems, schematics, and blueprints reading.
- Hands-on experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting automated controls.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers; power tools including drills and saws; ohmmeters; and other diagnostic equipment.
- Construction site experience with the ability to adapt quickly to changing environments while adhering to safety standards.
- Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements for safe electrical installations.
- Ability to perform renovation work involving electrical upgrades or modifications within existing facilities.
- Strong maintenance person skills including frame carpentry or general repair work are a plus.
