Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Long Dry Kiln Operator located in Fernley, NV. The Long Dry Kiln Operator will be responsible for monitoring and controlling the kiln process to ensure optimal production efficiency and quality. Daily tasks include adjusting controls, performing regular inspections, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining proper kiln temperatures, and addressing minor operational issues. Accurate record-keeping, teamwork, and effective communication with other departments are also essential in this role. This position is an hourly position works 12 hour rotaional shifts.

Qualifications

- Strong understanding of kiln operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting

- Ability to monitor, regulate, and control production processes systematically

- Basic mechanical and technical skills for equipment inspection and minor repairs

- Proficiency in safety protocols and adherence to workplace safety procedures

- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills

- Prior experience in cement manufacturing, kiln operation, or related industries is beneficial

- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification is a plus

- Capability to work in varying environmental conditions and perform physical tasks as needed
