Loadout Operator is responsible for loading appropriate product (in terms of quality and grade) into rail, trucks and super sacks according to destination.
- Accurately conduct pre-shift inspections daily.
- Attention to detail.
- Enter car/truck number information, product, tonnage and seal numbers on the loadout register.
- Wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for the function being performed.
- Load railcars and trucks to car/truck weight capacity using computer loading program.
- Ensure pre-railcar inspection; which includes but is not limited to opening and closing of gates and hatches on every railcar on-site.
- Visually inspect railcars from on top of railcar; looking for any contamination. Contamination could be but not limited to concrete, asphalt, fertilizer, grain and resin dust.
- Clean railcars and perform minor repairs to railcars.
- Visually confirm railcar marks during the loading process.
- Seal railcars by attaching seals on bottom gates and top hatches of the railcar.
- Record truck/trailer information on truck tickets accurately.
- Ensure scale tickets are completed with appropriate information.
- Operate transload machines in a safe productive manner.
- Collect or assist QC Techs by pulling sand samples for sieve analysis.
- Perform housekeeping as directed.
- Maintain safe, neat and orderly work areas in and around the facility.
- Commit to and support company’s Quality Policy and Objectives.
- Follow safe work practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Perform work in accordance with all applicable State and Federal mining laws.
- Other duties as assigned.
