- Monitor and control process components such as pumps, compressors, rotating equipment, flare, vessels, tanks, blowers, natural gas compression equipment; electrical systems; utilities systems (air, nitrogen, water sump pumps); fire protection, and hazard detection systems; and security systems at an RNG gas processing facility. Start, stop, and operate engines/pumps and other equipment to maintain designated operating parameters. Support management, O&M supervisors, and engineering in improving equipment reliability and efficiency at KM sites.
- Assist in the planning and performance of maintenance and repairs on compressors, engines, turbines, auxiliary equipment, pumps, process controls, and related equipment.
- Support the RNG Operator for system start ups (day and night), if necessary
- Perform visual and routine inspections of the RNG systems
- Troubleshoot and assist Engineering and Operations with root cause analysis of rotating and fixed equipment, including piping/mechanical/auxiliary systems.
- Provide hands-on support to resolve maintenance-related field problems as they occur.
- Provide start-up assistance and performance verification of new installations.
- Provide written reports documenting the findings and recommended corrective actions of all tests and inspections.
- Monitor SCADA data and trends to prioritize inspections, assist in Root Cause Analysis, and support recommended corrective actions.
- Assist the Maintenance team with the development, implementation, and periodic review of preventative/predictive maintenance programs to reduce unplanned shutdowns and improve overall equipment availability.
- Interact with a variety of clients and customer areas, including management, operations and maintenance supervisors, engineering to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Facilitates on-the-job training for new Operators and existing Operators as needed.
- Assist in the planning and performance of maintenance and repairs on compressors, engines, turbines, auxiliary equipment, pumps, process controls, and related equipment.
- Ensure the cost-effective and efficient performance of all gas and liquid processing units and associated equipment.
- Monitor quality of product to ensure meeting specifications and takes appropriate actions when out of specification product is identified.
- Notify personnel as appropriate of the status of system operations.

- Two years of experience with rotating and fixed equipment inspection, maintenance, or operation.
- Knowledge of compressor, pump, and general processing plant operations.
- Knowledge of gas and liquid processing theories and fundamentals
- Experience or familiarity analyzing, adjusting and making minor repairs on compressors, pumps and other associated equipment.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, and driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly and detail drawings, isometric drawings, plan and elevation drawings, P&IDs, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
- Experience with MS Office suite applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing, using appropriate business grammar
- Ability to deliver training in group and one-on-one situations
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals).
- Physical ability to lift as much as 50lbs, bend/stoop, kneel and climb ladders.
- Ability to use hand tools and equipment, repetitive hand use such as simple grasp and twisting motion included. • Physical ability to climb stairs above 100 feet and work from elevated platforms.
- Ability to perform daily route collection around operating compressors and equipment.
- Must be able and willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and must work overtime as required and be reasonably available to respond to and report to work in call-in situations.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
Preferred education, experience, certifications, competencies, skills, and abilities:
Above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position:
- Reciprocating compressor inspection, troubleshooting, operation, or maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of Company policies, procedures and practices as well as regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge and experience in safe handling practices of flammable gases, liquids and high/low pressure systems
- Experience with PLC and microprocessor-based control systems such as Allen Bradley, Modicon, and Siemens.
- SCADA/Historian data acquisition and analysis experience.
- Position requires overtime, and response to after-hours and weekend call-outs.
