Gas Liquids Engineering (GLE) is a well-established, privately-owned engineering firm providing EPCM services to the energy industry, including project management, engineering, drafting and design, procurement, construction management and regulatory services.
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Junior Document Controller to join our Document Control team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to the project teams in processing vendor and engineering documents. This role requires the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
As a member of our document control team your responsibilities, will include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure all engineering and vendor documents comply with client standards and requirements.
- Manage the control, distribution, and approval process of engineering and vendor drawings internally and with clients.
- Receive, audit, and verify drawings, documents, and forms for accuracy and completeness, and address deficiencies as required.
- Maintain and update document tracking systems to ensure all records are current and accurate.
- Coordinate squad checks for various engineering and vendor project deliverables.
- Prepare and transmit deliverables to clients and vendors in a timely manner.
- Assist in the creation and compilation of final data books.
- Prepare project files for close-out and ensure proper archiving.
- Minimum 2 years of full-time document control experience, managing both engineering and vendor documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent comprehension and attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint), Adobe Acrobat, and Bluebeam.
- Familiar with document management systems, including revision control, filing structures, squad checks, transmittals, and electronic document management software.
- Previous experience in an EPC company environment is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, adaptable environment and manage competing priorities.
- Willing and flexible to support other company needs as required.
