Applicants must be a_ resident of Portland, OR metropolitan area for a hybrid work environment _(2-3 days per week in office).
We’re looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer to help support, maintain, and improve our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. This is an entry-level role designed for someone who understands DevOps fundamentals and is eager to learn through hands-on experience alongside senior engineers.
You’ll work closely with engineering, QA, and cross-functional teams to improve system reliability, automation, and delivery speed.
- Assist in maintaining and monitoring cloud infrastructure (AWS)
- Support CI/CD pipelines for application builds and deployments
- Help manage infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
- Monitor system performance, logs, and alerts
- Assist with incident response and root cause analysis
- Support containerized applications (Docker, basic Kubernetes exposure)
- Help improve automation, documentation, and operational runbooks
- Follow security and best practices for systems and deployments
- 1–2 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, systems engineering, or similar
- Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix systems
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
- Basic scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar)
- Familiarity with Git and version control
- Strong willingness to learn and take feedback

- Exposure to Docker and container concepts
- Basic understanding of Kubernetes
- Experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
- Familiarity with IaC tools (Terraform preferred)
- Knowledge of networking basics (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancers)
- Relevant certifications (AWS Cloud Practitioner, etc.)
- familiarity with cloud-based test execution (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
