The Saskatchewan Research Council’s (SRC) Rare Earth Element Division has a career opportunity for a Journeyperson Plumber to support the construction and commissioning of SRC’s Rare Earth Processing Facility. This position is a 12-month term.
- Install process piping for heating, water, process fluids, and drainage systems for SRC’s Rare Earth Processing Facility
- Interpret drawings, 3D models, and specifications to determine installation layout and required materials
- Create task specific material lists
- Participate in commissioning and testing of piping systems and process equipment
- Work collaboratively with a team of engineers, technologists, and tradespersons, coordinating with other trades to complete tasks safely and efficiently
- Certification as a Red Seal Journeyperson Plumber is required
- Proven experience in industrial and/or commercial plumbing
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) and Fall Protection certificate is an asset
- Team player with effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Adaptable to shifting priorities, competing project demands, and tight deadlines, while demonstrating sound judgment, resourcefulness, and innovation
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a team or independently, taking initiative to complete tasks with minimal supervision
The chosen candidate will be required to provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties. The Criminal Record Check must have been executed within the preceding 30 days of receipt.
