IT Systems Analyst

Job Objective:

Primary objective is to consult and support the Asset business units and Information Technology (IT) department to understand the technology needs and challenges, ensure that projects align with best practices and IT strategy in support of the overall business strategy. This person analyzes, reviews and documents requirements of a project throughout its life cycle.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

- Represent and understand the needs of Asset teams to technical planning groups in IT.

- Consult with business units and review IT usage, services, technology, and department specific projects to identify, forecast and develop IT needs.

- Oversee all phases of a project from conception to completion, including scope changes, and keep user engaged through different communication channels.

- Establish relationships within IT, with business units, and with vendors during evaluations and negotiations to identify potential issues and risks.

- Implement, manage, and maintain application workflows across the organization in accordance with operational needs and compliance requirements.

- Collaborate with various departmental teams to understand their specific needs and develop customized application solutions.

- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing processes, making necessary adjustments to improve efficiency and user experience.

- Provide training and support to staff on applications, functionality and best practices.

- Stay updated with the latest application features and updates, ensuring the organization leverages its full capabilities.

- Manage the resolution of technical issues related to applications in a timely manner.

- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and company policies in all application processes.

- Performs other IT projects as assigned.

- Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.

- Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.

- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations.

Qualifications:

- Two (2) years minimum experience with E&P applications and tools.

- Highly experienced in DocuSign CLM Workflow

- Working knowledge of maintenance management systems or equivalent experience.

- Working knowledge of cloud application infrastructure.

- Exceptional ability in diagnosing and solving technical related issues.

- Ability to conduct application troubleshooting.

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.

- Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities with minimum supervision.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex information system’s information into an organized and presentable manner.

- Ability to travel to remote locations via large and small planes, helicopter, or boat. Expectation is quarterly trips to our asset locations.

- Proficiency in the use and application of the following software:

- Required:

- Microsoft: SQL, SSRS, Power BI, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint

- DocuSign CLM

- Working knowledge of oil and gas industry applications and processes.

Education Requirements, Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology related field plus two (2) years of experience as a System Analyst or in an IT role with the same or similar job responsibilities.

- Associate Degree in Information Technology related field plus four (4) years of experience as a System Analyst or in an IT role with the same or similar job responsibilities.

- Five (5) years of experience as a System Analyst or in an IT role with the same or similar job responsibilities.
