IT Service Technician

Looking for a private contractor IT tech to be an on-call IT helper when needed and help with getting a new server.

- Provide comprehensive technical support to end-users via help desk platforms, addressing issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.

- Manage and troubleshoot computer systems across various operating systems including Windows and macOS, ensuring optimal performance and security.

- Configure, maintain, and support computer hardware components, peripherals, and software applications like Microsoft Office suite.

- Diagnose and resolve network issues involving LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewalls, and other IT infrastructure components.

- Assist with software troubleshooting for applications running on Windows, Linux, and macOS platforms to minimize downtime.

- Support the deployment of new hardware and software updates while maintaining accurate records using BMC Remedy or ServiceNow ticketing systems.

- Collaborate with team members on projects related to IT infrastructure improvements, ensuring best practices in security protocols and system stability.

- Strong technical support skills with a focus on customer service excellence.

- Proficiency in computer management including hardware installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

- Extensive knowledge of operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.

- Experience with computer networking concepts including LAN setup, VPN configuration, firewalls, and network security measures.

- Familiarity with help desk tools like ServiceNow and Jira for incident tracking and resolution management.

- Ability to troubleshoot software issues across multiple platforms efficiently.

- Knowledge of IT infrastructure components including servers, switches, routers, and BMC Remedy or similar ticketing systems.
