Position Summary
The IT Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring its efficient operation, security, and alignment with business objectives. This role involves leading a team of IT professionals, managing projects, optimizing systems, and implementing best practices to support the company’s technological needs.
Essential Functions
Infrastructure Management:
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud services.
Ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability of IT systems.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
System Security And Compliance
Implement Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) applications, such as DUO and MS Intune.
Maintain Active Directory and Group Policy.
Ensure data protection through timely backups and restores following company policies and procedures utilizing VEEAM.
Assist the IT Director with disaster recovery design, testing, and implementation.
Assist the IT Director with cybersecurity strategies, design, testing, and implementation.
Team Leadership And Collaboration
Manage Divisional/Branch Network Administrators.
Contribute to the development of the IT strategy and roadmap.
Identify emerging technologies and trends that can benefit the organization.
Align IT infrastructure initiatives with business goals.
Maintain client confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
Participate in IT On Call Rotation.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Other duties as assigned.
Documentation And Communication
Maintain accurate documentation of IT infrastructure and processes.
Communicate effectively with senior management and other departments.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Responsible for managing Divisional/Branch Network Administrators.
SKILLS And QUALIFICATIONS
Strong technical knowledge of servers, networks, storage systems, and cloud services.
Experience with virtualization, disaster recovery, and backup solutions.
Proficiency in network and security protocols and best practices.
Excellent leadership, project management, and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions for computer-related hardware and software.
Basic understanding of algebraic, geometrical, and arithmetical concepts.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving many variables in specialized situations.
Experience And Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or 10+ years of relevant work experience.
Experience in supporting business-related functionality in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Physical And Mental Requirements
Must be able to lift 30 pounds
Must be able to travel to all facilities to perform job responsibilities.
Availability for on-call support as needed.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
