Job Description:
Klauer Manufacturing is seeking a hands-on IT Manager to lead our technology team through the next phase of our Sage X3 ERP implementation and ongoing IT modernization. This opening follows the retirement of our long-tenured IT leader, creating an opportunity for someone ready to roll up their sleeves, tackle challenges directly, and ensure our systems are optimized and fully support the business. The role will also be responsible for identifying and implementing technology solutions that position Klauer for future growth, ensuring our IT infrastructure evolves to meet long-term goals.
- Lead and actively participate in the day-to-day operation of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, cybersecurity, and user support.
- Take ownership of the Sage X3 ERP system; including support, development, testing, training, and data integrity, along with oversight of the RFGen mobile scanning application to ensure seamless integration and a successful company-wide implementation.
- Work closely with department leaders to understand business needs and translate them into system functionality and reporting.
- Manage IT vendors, contracts, and licensing to ensure cost-effective and reliable services.
- Build and maintain disaster recovery, business continuity, and security practices.
- Recruit, develop, and coach a team of four IT professionals, setting clear expectations for results.
- Stay current on new technologies that can improve efficiency, productivity, or security.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies with potential to create long-term business advantage.
- Drive forward-looking IT initiatives that modernize infrastructure, increase scalability, and position the company for future growth.
- Serve as a key member of Klauer Manufacturing’s management team, contributing to strategic decision-making and aligning technology initiatives.
- Minimum 7 years of IT management experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Proven track record of being hands-on in system administration, troubleshooting, and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL; experience with Sage X3 is highly preferred.
- Understanding of business processes such as supply chain, purchasing, manufacturing, and logistics.
- BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems directly, and deliver results under pressure.

Physical Demands:
Extended periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer or attending meetings. Regular use of hands and fingers to type on a keyboard, operate a mouse, perform other computer-related tasks, and manipulate small objects. Ability to view computer screens for extended periods and differentiate colors, fonts, and details on the screen. Occasional lifting weighing up to 25 pounds. Ability to reach for items stored in cabinets or on shelves above or below desk level. Ability to hear and speak clearly for communication purposes, both in person and over the phone. Ability to move within the office space, including walking to different areas, standing for short periods, and navigating around furniture and equipment. Endurance to maintain focus and productivity during regular working hours. Maintaining proper posture to prevent strain or injury, including adjusting chair and monitor heights for ergonomic comfort.
