Under general supervision, conducts investigations involving claims for property damages against the district; collects, analyzes, evaluates and interprets information on claims and incidents involving District properties, assets, personnel matters and third-party claims and performs a wide variety of research; recommends claim settlements, processes claims and billing information and assists the office of the General Counsel in preparation of a variety of documents; responds to incidents involving District personnel, property, diversion of electricity and water and implements loss control measures; prepares detail investigation reports; assists with the physical security of District property, assets and personnel; implements security measures to ensure a safe workplace and the safety of employees, customers, and the general public. Performs other duties as assigned.
Associates degree in administration of justice, business, civil and commercial law, or related degree and two years’ experience working in corporate investigations, law enforcement, security operations center, or other related work experience.
Progressively responsible directly related experience may be substituted for the required education at the ratio of two years of experience for one year of education required in working in corporate investigations, law enforcement, security operations center, or other related work experience.
