- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to ensure availability of critical spares while minimizing excess and obsolescence.
- Analyze usage trends and forecast demand to support maintenance schedules and reduce downtime.
- Consolidate stock across multiple warehouse locations to improve efficiency and reduce procurement costs.
- Lead and mentor warehouse teams across multiple sites, ensuring adherence to safety, cleanliness, and 5S principles.
- Oversee receiving, labeling, storing, issuing, and returning of materials and tools, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
- Maintain high standards of data integrity in Maximo and D365 systems for all inventory transactions.
- Partner with Procurement to support sourcing decisions, emergency purchases, and vendor coordination.
- Work closely with Maintenance and Engineering teams to ensure critical spares are tagged to assets and easily accessible.
- Support surplus asset disposition in alignment with organizational and regulatory guidelines.
- Utilize Power BI and other analytics tools to monitor inventory performance, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure all stock items are properly registered with complete metadata including QR codes, bin locations, and manufacturer details.
- Monitor access logs and stock movement to ensure inventory accuracy and security.
- Execute emergency-related purchase orders in compliance with state procurement regulations.
- Ensure all stock issues are tied to valid work orders and reconciled appropriately.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Stay current with industry’s best practices and emerging technologies in supply chain and inventory management.
- Manage the tool program, including purchasing tools, assigning tool numbers, tracking and inspecting tools upon return, replacing tools as necessary, and conducting regular tool audits.
- Serve as a purchase card approving official, responsible for reviewing and approving credit card purchases made by direct reports.
- Oversee the ordering, safe storage, and inventory management of chemicals used across Generation Operation sites.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field; or at least 5 years of relevant experience in inventory, warehouse, or supply chain operations.
CPO Certification (must be obtained within one year). Required to maintain 24 hours of continuing education every two years to retain State Certified Procurement Officer status.
- Strong understanding of generation and transmission systems and associated spare parts.
- Proficiency in Maximo, D365, and other CMMS platforms.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, multi-site environment and manage competing priorities.
