Job Summary
The Legal Intern will support the in-house Legal team on a variety of corporate, transactional, and compliance matters that contribute to the growth and operation of a leading renewable-energy organization. This internship is ideal for students interested in corporate law, renewable energy markets, and the legal frameworks that support solar, wind, and storage projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the review, drafting, and organization of contracts, including NDAs, vendor agreements, and project-development documents.
- Conduct legal research on regulatory, environmental, and energy-related matters (e.g., FERC, state permitting, interconnection rules).
- Support due diligence activities for mergers, acquisitions, financings, and other corporate transactions.
- Help maintain corporate governance records, including resolutions, meeting minutes, and entity filings.
- Assist with document management, contract tracking, and administrative tasks that support the Legal team’s workflow.
- Participate in team meetings and gain exposure to how legal strategy influences renewable-energy development and asset management.
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.
- Strong interest in renewable energy and corporate law.
- Excellent research, writing, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on experience working within an in-house legal function supporting renewable energy assets.
- Exposure to real-world corporate and regulatory issues shaping the renewable energy industry.
