Infrastructure Engineer

Under the general direction of the Systems and Network Manager, the Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for the performance, security, and reliability of the entire infrastructure environment. To include servers, (both physical and virtual), Networks, (Route/Switch/WAP), and cloud environments. Candidates should be comfortable and have a working knowledge of the Perdue Model for network segmentation in both the IT and OT spaces. This position will assist in performing liaison responsibilities between IT and OT efforts of design, implementation, and care and feeding of both IT and OT environments ensuring smooth communication and collaboration between IT and OT teams.

- Manage, monitor, back up, and maintain all IT infrastructure, with a focus extending down to Purdue Model layers 2.5 and 3 to ensure secure and efficient integration between enterprise IT systems and operational technology environments.

- Assist in the developing, managing, monitoring, and maintenance of all applications and infrastructure protected under the current disaster recovery plan.

- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues pertaining to IT/OT infrastructure to include root cause analysis.

- Collaborate with the security teams to implement and remediate potential security threats within the environment.

- Participate in discussions, planning and implementations related to IT and security regulations.

- Participate in the design of new IT infrastructure to support growth through acquisitions.

- Ensure the highest levels of system stability and availability.

- Communicate with third party vendors and ensure proper licensing and support for all IT infrastructure.

- Participate in the development of optimization and automation of IT practices, to include the application layer.

- Present new IT technologies and best practices to the IT department for review.

- Assist the Network Architect and System Engineer in planning and executing projects.

- Serve as an escalation POC for 3rd party NOC and SOC.

- Travel to remote sites for general IT infrastructure duties.

- Successfully monitor and manage other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent practical experience, with a minimum of 5 years of proven success in System Engineering or a closely related IT infrastructure role. Demonstrated hands-on expertise will be considered in lieu of formal education.

- Proven engineering experience in Virtual infrastructure, Windows OS administration, Fortinet Route/Switch/ AP.

- Working knowledge of PAM, ZTNA

- Proven experience of design, implementation, and maintenance IDF and MDF
