Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Information Technology Trainer (Part-Time Consultant) to join the Lion Pride team. As an IT Trainer, you will be responsible for providing in-person training to the local community in our efforts of supporting the 'Catapult Career Bootcamp Program'. This program drives the commitment to professional growth for tech equity for minority and disadvantaged individuals interested in career change to information technology. This is a critical role that ensures the successful training delivery and insights for our new technology scholars.
Responsibilities:
- Training students and scholars that are interested in technology exploration as a career
- Manage the administrative duties and scholar relationship pre and post training
- Provide technical support for lab, practice or training issues that may arise
- Collaborate with tech professionals and training vendors when required
- Analyze outputs of training curriculum and measure the successful outcomes of the program.
- Maintain training materials, testing, study and lab materials for class scheduling
- Assist in the development and implementation of the growth of the program
- Conduct regular collaboration and communication to professionals who have completed the courseware that require support and direction
- Stay up-to-date with technologies and trends in the IT field to continue to bring value to the program's success
Experience:
- Proven experience as an IT Specialist or IT Trainer with similar role
- Strong knowledge of Information Technology core enterprise concepts
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems (Windows 10, 11, Linux, Windows Server)
- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical professionals
- Must be certified with CompTIA products such as the A+, Network+, Security+, Server+, Linux+, Cloud+ and/or others - Must be a certified trainer or willing to certify as a trainer with the CompTIA TECH+- Enterprise IT services background (plus)
