INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST
Job Summary:
The Information Technology Specialist supports Dugan Production Corp.’s mission to safely and responsibly find, develop, and deliver hydrocarbons to better our community. This role provides responsive, reliable, and efficient IT services that enable employees to perform their work effectively and safely. Reporting to the Information Technology Manager, the Information Technology Specialist ensures that IT systems, hardware, and user access resources are maintained in alignment with Dugan Production Corp.’s commitment to communication, accountability, and teamwork.
Essential Duties:
•Respond to user reports of malfunctioning IT hardware or software, providing timely diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair.
•Set up, update, maintain, and repair company-owned IT hardware, including printers, desktops, laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
•Provide training to employees on IT systems, hardware, and software such as Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and department-specific applications, promoting responsible and secure usage.
•Maintain accurate inventory of all computers, peripheral equipment, and company-issued mobile devices.
•Communicate with the IT Manager regarding new equipment needs, user accounts, and network resources to support team effectiveness and accountability.
•Maintain and administer users, permissions, and data within field data collection and accounting systems.
•Create or modify Structured Query Language (SQL) queries to retrieve or update data contained in company databases, supporting accurate and efficient data use.
•Maintain and update HTML and CSS code for internal web-based utilities under IT Manager supervision.
•Provide instruction and support for information security practices to protect company resources and community trust.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
•Aptitude for working with computers, mobile devices, and networking equipment
•Understanding of user account management, information security principles, and data protection best practices
•Ability to communicate effectively with users of all technical skill levels, demonstrating patience, respect, and professionalism
•Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines
•Strong commitment to teamwork, accountability, and service excellence
•Integrity in handling sensitive information and company data
Education and Experience:
•High school diploma or equivalent
•Experience in supporting users with computer hardware, software, and mobile devices
•Experience installing and troubleshooting Windows required; experience with other operating systems preferred
•Familiarity with SQL, HTML, and CSS is a plus.
•Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows operating systems (required); experience with Mac OS and Linux is optional
•An equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable.
Working Conditions:
•Office-based work environment
•Frequent sitting; occasional standing, walking, squatting/kneeling, and bending
•Constant lifting of 10 lbs. or less; occasional lifting of 11–50 lbs.
•May occasionally travel between Dugan locations
•Normal working hours with occasional overtime as required
