JOB DESCRIPTION
This role will support the Organizational Development team by designing and developing high-quality learning programs and materials that meet the needs of our diverse learners. This position will support talent management programs and projects. Attention to detail and managing multiple projects and deadlines is critical.
JOB SUMMARY
•Collaborate with Professional Development Lead, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to design and develop learning content for use in various delivery modalities, such as instructor led trainings (in-person and virtual) as well as eLearning modules.
•Utilize the ADDIE model and Principles of Adult Learning to guide the development of instructional materials.
JOB DUTIES
•Understand the basic principles, theories and concepts related to instructional design and learn how to apply them within the ERCOT culture.
•Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
•Contribute to specific objectives and outcomes as directed.
ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES
•Contribute to the team’s curriculum development process.
•Utilize multimedia authoring tools, including, but not limited to PowerPoint, Camtasia and Articulate.
•Review and revise existing program concepts, strategies, and instructional materials to continuously advance the training program.
•Generate creative and innovative training concepts and methods and work with team to turn them into training curriculum.
•Evaluate and make recommendations on training material and methodology.
•Keep current on training design and methodologies.
•Implement principles of adult learning when designing instructor led training and application activities.
•Partner with internal stakeholders regarding employee training needs.
•Collaborate with Professional Development Lead and Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to create training curriculum for classroom and online courses.
•Design and produce learning resources using a wide variety of formats including print, graphics, audio, video, and animation technologies.
•Develop multimedia training applications; and integrate different multimedia types into more complex presentations.
•Develop supplemental materials such as job aides and facilitator guides.
•Work with content delivery platforms including learning management and talent management systems.
•Explore developing technologies and advise team on the application of new technologies to the training and educational goals of the department.
•Manage course design projects from inception to completion.
EXPERIENCE
•Requires minimum 2 years job related work experience in excess of degree requirements.
•Minimum of 2 years’ experience with multimedia authoring tools, including, but not limited to PowerPoint, Articulate, and Camtasia.
•Minimum of 2 years’ experience with Learning Management Systems and Content Management Systems.
•Experience in designing, developing, and evaluating instructional materials and programs, including in-person and virtual instructor led courses.
•Proficient with graphic design software.
•Demonstrated excellence in communication and technical writing skills.
•Knowledge of LMS and SCORM.
•Proficient with MS Office 365 suite.
SKILLS
•eLearning Authoring Tools including Camtasia and Articulate
•LMS experience (Cornerstone preferred)

EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree: Education, Communications, Training and Development, Instructional/Curriculum Design, Instructional Technology, Human Resources Development or related field (Required)
or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge to a major in such fields is required

Pay: $49.00 - $50.00 per hour
