We are seeking qualified individuals for the role of Industrial Hygiene Technician – Temporary Contract. Please note that this is not a fly-in, fly-out position and will be based in Labrador West, NL requiring candidates to work a Monday-Friday schedule.
- Reporting to the Manager of Safety, Contractor Management and Indrustrial Hygiene, the duties, responsibilities and experience required for this position as a minimum are;
- Conduct sampling per current Industrial Hygiene programs
- Assist with annual Hazardous Materials Survey
- Assist with Ventilation assessments and bring forward concerns/complaints.
- Maintain record of hazardous products on site. Ensure SDS are on Shared folder and are up to date.
- Assist with investigations into sample exceedances and concerns
- Data entry, digital filing of all field sampling data and sample results
- Work with operations on a daily basis to address IH concerns and implement corrective actions wherever necessary.
- Assist with other various tasks as required
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with the ability to work with limited supervision
- Excellent work ethic, and attendance
- Previous Industrial Hygiene experience is an asset
