I&E Designer

Shipp Engineering Services strives to provide top quality professional engineering/design services for oil, gas and industrial construction and related projects to both major and independent clients.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

- Perform all aspects for complete design of instrument and electrical projects.

- Reading and communicating scope of work, client specifications, vendor documentation for equipment and design criteria upon assignment of project.

- Complete advanced / complex I&E design in accordance with industry practices.

- Lead a team of I&E designers to complete projects on time.

- Prepare 3D Models, draft instrument drawings and electrical drawings under minimal supervision.

- Reviewing designs/drawings and supporting other engineering / design disciplines.

- Must be able to engage directly with other engineers, designers, and clients to resolve technical concerns.

- Conduct model reviews for the I&E portion with clients.

- Create a bill of materials.

- Ability to meet deadlines.

- Assisting with estimates.

- Willingness to travel to jobsites to gather information.

Basic Qualifications

- Experience in I&E design related to petrochemical, refining, and commercial industries.

- Minimum 5 years of electrical design experience.

- Knowledge and application of instrument and electrical standards.

- Ability to create accurate I&E drawings in a timely manner.

- Proficient in AutoCAD, Plant3D, Microsoft Word, Excel, Bluebeam, and Outlook. Other Autodesk 3D software a plus.

- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Knowledge of DCS and PLC systems.

Schedule:

- Monday through Thursday 7:30 am to 5:30 pm (1 hour lunch)

- Friday 7:30 to 11:30 am

- Weekends off
