I&E Designer – Intermediate

TENG Inc. is a fast growing, medium-size engineering consultant company providing engineering and project management services to multiple industry sectors. We have an immediate need for I&E Designer to report to our HQ’s in Mississauga.

The successful candidate must have a strong design background and good field / execution experience in the oil and gas industry. Candidate requires strong, hands-on technical expertise based on formal training and experience in heavy industrial, supported by a minimum of 5 years of experience in the relevant EPC company.

The successful candidate’s roles and responsibilities will include:

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

- Review and interpret Instrument & Electrical engineering work packages.

- Complete field verifications.

- Generate and follow-up on RFIs.

- Work with clients and contractors to develop solutions to address field challenges.

- Coordinate field execution with various parties at site

- Work with home office engineering on quick-turnaround deliverables.

- Work with commissioning contractor to establish commissioning procedures and sequences.

- Support commissioning and startup activities.

- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

- Experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.

- Bachelors in Engineering or Diploma in a related field preferred

- Minimum 5 years of experience in related areas

- Proficient in use of computers and software like Primavera

- Strong communication & interpersonal skills.

- Work in an industrial environment

- Work with I&E tradespersons

- Work is performed at a heavy industrial facility and in a professional office.

- Required to walk and climb stairs / ladders for moderate periods of time

- Direct supervision from Instrument & Electrical Lead

- General supervision from I&E Section Head

- Travel will be required to client job sites will be required across Canada with longer term site visits to Hamilton Region.
