We are looking for an I&C Engineer to join our team. This position will be office based with occasional travel to site.
· Complete understanding and application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field. Provide Instrumentation and Controls design support to multidisciplinary teams on projects.
Generating instruments MRQ, complete the bid evaluations and purchase order requisitions.
Reviewing and marking up instrument and mechanical packages vendor drawings
Working with Instrument Sizing and Calculation: Control Valve, Pressure Relief Valve, Flow Elements-Orifice, Wedge meter, Vortex, Turbine
Basic design/specification and detailed design of I & C including control narratives, C&E, panel layouts, loop drawings, Generating I/O list and P&ID’s.
Create construction packages including scope of work and drawings and perform interdisciplinary reviews.
Able to liaison with Client’s during project meetings, HAZOPs, and adhere to Client standards.
Support to commission systems and perform FAT/SATs as required.
Comply with all company procedures, engineering practices and other standards.
· 10+ years of experience in Instrumentation and Controls within SAGD projects, with familiarity with well pads, CPF, and OTSG.
· Strong knowledge of process flow meters, control valves, analyzers, sample conditioning systems, and other measurement devices, along with expertise in variable speed pumps and electrical design practices and philosophies.
· Capable of independently completing instrument bid document evaluations
· Able to work independently or attend meetings with overseas vendors; Occasionally OT are required.
· Expert knowledge of control systems and implementation experience with Emerson DeltaV system.
· Excellent organizational, communications, administrative and problem-solving skills
· Strong knowledge of industrial communication devices and methodologies
· In-depth understanding of industrial communication devices and protocols.
· Proven project execution skills across all phases, including DBM, EDS, DE, pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and system turnover.
· Well-developed interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
· Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in good standing with APEGA.
