HVOF Coating Experience Required

Overview

To perform the job of Coating Operator successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function per the established Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure all parts meet or exceed quality expectations. The functions listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary.

Responsibilities

· Identify specific powders to be utilized

· Apply coating per written work instructions and per job router

· Ensure that coating thickness is within specification and meets all requirements provided

· Sign job router as coating activities are completed

· Identify proper measuring tools and measure readings accurately

· Operate lathes, forklifts, and overhead cranes

· Ensure established quality standards are maintained

· Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work area

· Ensure all required personal protection equipment is used at all times

· Help in other departments as needed

Education

· High School Diploma or GED

· Basic mathematical skills and comprehension

Experience

· Previous experience operating HVOF equipment preferred

· Knowledge of thermal spray practices and techniques preferred

Skills

· Ability to successfully communicate with others

· Ability to read and comprehend written work instructions and procedures

· Basic understanding and use of measuring devices
