HVAC Technician

In this vital role, you’ll be primarily responsible for the installation, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of various HVAC equipment at both residential and commercial properties throughout Maine. This is a hands-on position that offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule*, allowing you to enjoy evenings with your family.

Essential Functions:

- Accurately and efficiently install, repair, and maintain various oil, gas, and heat pump systems in our customers’ homes and businesses.

- Receives, verifies, and loads all equipment and materials needed for each job.

- Communicates with the service dispatch team to ensure they have an accurate report on activities and availability.

- Complete all work professionally, neatly, and according to safety standards set by the State of Maine and by Fabian.

- Ensures company property, vehicles, and tools are being used, maintained, and properly accounted for.

- Interact professionally with customers, team members, and third-party vendors.

- Report issues or concerns promptly and accurately to the service team.

Qualifications:

- Journeyman or Master Technician License.

- At least 1 year of relevant HVAC experience.

- EPA Certification.

- Valid Class C drivers license with a relatively clean driving record.

Competencies:

- Strong ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

- Basic electronic competency to complete work orders and related tasks.

- Proficiency with tools, including specialty and power tools, used in HVAC work.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strict adherence to safety standards, including PPE, lifting techniques, and vehicle operation.

Working Conditions / Physical Demands:

- Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and maneuvering propane tanks and tools).

- Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.

- Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, squatting, and crouching during installation and maintenance tasks.

- Spend extended periods driving between job sites across Maine.

- *Must be willing to work occasional overtime & weekend hours as needed.
