We are seeking a highly organized and meticulous HR & Payroll Generalist to join our team. In this critical role, you will manage the accurate processing of hourly employee payroll, including timekeeping, wage calculations, and deductions, while ensuring compliance with company policies and labor regulations. Additionally, you will support various HR functions including but not limited to employee onboarding, recruiting process, benefits administration, off-boarding and maintaining employee records. Some Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Full-Cycle Payroll Processing: Oversee all aspects of payroll, including timekeeping, accurate wage calculations, tax deductions, and ensuring timely and compliant payroll delivery for hourly employees.
Garnishment Administration: Handle all paperwork and prepare garnishment calculations for payroll.
Prevailing Wage Administration: Oversee the preparation and submission of all required paperwork, including Prevailing Wage Reports and calculations, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Manage prequalification reporting and related activities to maintain adherence to prevailing wage requirements.
Experience with HRIS and payroll software (e.g., Paylocity).
Benefits Administration: Assist with employee questions w/ benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and workers compensation.
Onboarding: Facilitate new employee orientation and ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed.
Exit Interviews: Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to improve retention and organizational culture.
Problem-solving skills: Identify discrepancies in payroll or HR records and resolve them in a timely manner.
Employee Relations: Address employee concerns and mediate conflicts, fostering a positive workplace environment.
Responsive to Leadership: Demonstrate flexibility and adapt to changing priorities, completing tasks as directed by management and other key stakeholders.
