An opportunity has arisen within the HSEQ Department for an HSE Specialist. The successful candidate will be based in Houston, TX and will report to the HSEQ Manager. The HSE Specialist ensures the seamless integration of health, safety, and environmental standards into all aspects of our operations.

- Salary range: $93,168 - $108,696 (dependent on experience)
- Oversee the implementation and adherence to HSE policies and protocols.
- Ensures regulatory compliance by managing and submitting reports to relevant authorities, including OSHA and waste management records.
- Leads safety compliance audits and maintains compliance sites such as ISNetworld and Veriforce.
- Develop safety initiatives by leading HSE meetings and training sessions for staff.
- Provides proactive guidance and support to facilitate a safe work environment during organizational changes and maintenance operations.
- Manage workers’ compensation claims and incident investigations to mitigate risks.
- Conducts regular workplace inspections to identify hazards.
- Facilitates incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Oversees Risk Assessments and support the development of new assessments.
- Coordinates with relevant departments for proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Collaborates with external stakeholders, such as regulatory agencies and industry groups.
- Serves as a liaison between management and employees to address HSE concerns and foster open communication.
- Interprets legislative and regulatory requirements to develop company policies and procedures.
- Collaborates in overseeing onsite contractors to uphold safety compliance standards.
- Fosters engagement and cultivate a positive HSE culture within the organization.
- Conducts audits in alignment with the HSEQ audit plan, adhering to HSEQ requirements.
- Drives continuous improvement initiatives across HSE practices.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university preferred but not required.
- Professional HSE Certification required.
- OSHA 30 General Industry or equivalent
- Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Preferred
- DOT Hazardous Material Preferred
- 6+ years of experience within an HSE role.- Detailed knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements. (OSHA, DOT, EPA, TCEQ)
All regular full-time employees are eligible to participate in our flexible work schedule which consists of eight (8) work days of nine (9) hours and one work day of eight (8) hours for a total of eighty (80) hours during two (2) consecutive work weeks. The eight (8) hour work day must be the employee’s working Friday. Under the 9/80 schedule for salaried exempt employees, one calendar week shall consist of 44 hours (four 9-hour days and one 8-hour day) and the alternating calendar week will consist of 36 hours (four 9-hour days and one day off). Employees can “opt-out” and work the regular work week.
