I. Position Description
The HR generalist oversees administrative support for all Human Resources activities at the Ecobat Solutions facility located in Casa Grande, AZ.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate all pre-hire and onboarding activities, including background checks, sanctions screening, physicals, drug testing, and Day 1 orientation.
•+ Maintain and audit personnel records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal and company standards.
+ Analyze and report on HR metrics including attrition, retention, absenteeism, and exit interview feedback.
+ Process employee changes such as hires, terminations, promotions, demotions, and manager updates in HRIS systems.
+ Communicate and enforce HR policies, procedures, and applicable state/federal employment laws in partnership with plant leadership.
+ Monitor and manage attendance programs and ensure equitable and accurate tracking.
+ Administer and track employee leave including vacation, sick, bereavement, FMLA, and other protected absences.
+ Support weekly payroll processing by reviewing timecards and serving as a backup for payroll administration.
+ Assist with compensation and benefits programs, including annual open enrollment and employee inquiries.
+ Investigate employee complaints and concerns and support disciplinary actions to ensure fairness and compliance.
+ Perform job and task analyses to develop and maintain accurate job descriptions.
+ Respond to employee inquiries and provide day-to-day HR support to plant staff and management.
+ Coordinate and support employee engagement initiatives and company-sponsored events.
+ Prepare and maintain HR reports and data for plant and corporate leadership.
+ Collaborate with HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Dimensions) to ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy.
+ Stay current on HR best practices, employment laws, and industry trends to ensure ongoing compliance and process improvement.
+ Perform other duties as assigned and commensurate with the role.
II. Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
•5+ years of progressive Human Resources generalist experience
•SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) – Preferred.

III. Physical Requirements & Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of his job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Must be able to wear the required Personal Protective Equipment.
