Position Overview:
The HR Generalist is responsible for providing comprehensive support to the Human Resources department, with a primary focus on onboarding, benefits administration, compliance reporting, and coordination of Learning and Performance Management. This position also serves as a backup resource for recruiting activities and contributes to the overall effectiveness of the HR function by assisting in a variety of HR initiatives and employee support programs.
Essential Functions:
Onboarding & Employee Integration
•Coordinate and facilitate the new hire onboarding process, including preparing offer letters, background checks, I-9 verification, orientation schedules, and benefits enrollment.
•Act as the primary point of contact for new hires, ensuring a smooth and positive onboarding experience.
•Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system.
Benefits Administration
•Administer employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability.
•Serve as liaison between employees and benefit providers to address and resolve benefits-related inquiries and issues.
•Assist with annual open enrollment, benefit plan audits, and benefits communications.
Learning and Performance Management
•Maintain and update employee training records and compliance certifications.
•Coordinate internal and external training sessions, workshops, and webinars.
•Partner with department leaders to monitor training outcomes and make recommendations for improvements.
•Assist in curating training materials, e-learning modules, and job aids.
•Assist with yearly and quarterly review cycles.
Qualifications:
•Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
•Experience: 2–4 years of progressively responsible experience in an HR Generalist, Benefits, or HR Coordinator role.
•Certifications: PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus.
•Technical Skills: Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Experience with ADP Workforce Now is preferred.
•Knowledge: Solid understanding of HR policies, procedures, and compliance requirements including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, OSHA, and other employment laws.
Working Conditions:
•Combination of in-office and remote work (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
•General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
•Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.

•Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
