At Quaise Energy, Inc, the HR Generalist plays a vital role in attracting and supporting the exceptional talent that drives our mission forward. As our company continues to grow rapidly, this role is instrumental in managing end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes to ensure we bring on the right people at the right time. In addition to recruiting, the HR Generalist helps maintain a safe, compliant, and positive workplace by supporting day-to-day employee needs, administering benefits, and reinforcing company policies. This position is key to sustaining a people-first culture during an exciting period of expansion and innovation.

Lead and support the full-cycle recruitment process, including drafting and posting job openings, screening top talent, coordinating interviews, and managing candidate communications.
Conduct pre-screening interviews (phone or video) to assess qualifications and alignment with company needs.
Actively engage with recruiting leads and follow up on emails, messages, and referrals to build strong talent pipelines.
Represent Quaise at job fairs, conferences, and networking events to promote our brand and attract talent.
Coordinate new hire onboarding activities, including payroll setup, orientation sessions, and cultural integration.
Maintain accurate employee records and assist with office management tasks, such as supplies and team event coordination.
Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, 401(k), workers' compensation, and other company-sponsored perks.
Serve as a point of contact for employee benefit questions and liaise with providers to resolve issues.
Coordinate annual benefits open enrollment and ensure timely communication to employees.
Act as a point of contact for employee concerns, helping to resolve workplace issues or escalating them appropriately.
Help implement and communicate HR policies and procedures. Ensure employees are aware of and understand updated policies.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Maintain HRIS systems and ensure data accuracy across employee records.
Support initiatives to strengthen company culture, such as employee engagement events, wellness programs, or recognition efforts.
Conduct employee pulse surveys or assist in compiling feedback for leadership.
Assist with routine workplace inspections and documentation related to safety awareness and compliance.
Prepare and submit required compliance reports (e.g., EEO-1, ACA filings) and support internal audits.
Perform additional HR-related duties as needed to support a growing and dynamic organization.


Competencies

Skilled in full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding to support company growth.
Strong relationship-building skills with both candidates and employees across all levels.
Proficient in applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, and other recruitment tools to streamline hiring and reporting.
Clear and professional communicator, with excellent verbal and written abilities.
Proficient in communicating and enforcing HR policies and procedures.
Solid understanding of labor laws and compliance requirements to ensure fair and ethical practices.
Maintains high ethical standards and handles confidential information with discretion.
Well-organized with strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Able to address employee concerns, manage conflict, and support a positive workplace culture.
Familiar with HRIS systems and reporting tools to support hiring and workforce planning.


Supervisory responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead or support HR initiatives such as recruiting process improvements, employee engagement efforts, policy updates, and safety compliance.
May oversee the work of contractors, temporary staff, or vendors to ensure alignment with company policies and safety standards.
May provide guidance and mentorship to interns or temporary employees to support their professional development and successful project contributions.


Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
5-7 years of progressive HR experience, including exposure to full-cycle recruiting, benefits administration, and employee relations.
Experience supporting high-growth or technical organizations preferred.
Familiarity with employment laws and HR best practices across multi-state operations.
Proficiency with HRIS, payroll and applicant tracking systems is a plus.
PHR or SHRM certification preferred but not required.


Physical requirements

The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, as well as use hands to feel, reach, grasp, handle, or operate objects, tools and/or controls.
The employee must be able to lift, push, pull, transfer, or move items up 20 pounds at times for departmental needs.
Ability to travel may be required for conferences, training sessions, or to visit various job sites and locations to complete tasks.
Must have sufficient vision and hearing to review and comprehend written and electronic materials, communicate effectively with employees, and participate in meetings and presentations.
