MAIN PURPOSE: Responsible for oversight of the day-to-day operational health and safety activities at Eagle Mine and Humboldt Mill. The Supervisor will lead and support front-line employees in executing daily mining activities safely, efficiently, and to plan. Supervisors at Eagle set the tone for safety, teamwork, and performance. Guiding, coaching, and supporting their employees to achieve results while maintaining a positive, respectful workplace. They are the visible link between leadership intent and field execution, ensuring operational excellence through care, consistency, and communication.

- Be highly visible in the operation, regularly engaging with crews at the mine and mill to reinforce safe behaviors and address concerns in real time.
- Ensure compliance with MSHA regulations, company standards, and industry best practices.
- Oversee site safety training programs, ensuring employees and contractors are trained, competent, and aligned with regulatory and site expectations.
- Supervise the Mine Rescue training program to ensure compliance with MSHA regulations and delivery of effective training.
- Monitor the maintenance and operational readiness of underground refuge chambers.
- Provide support to the Health and Safety Superintendent in identifying, leading and championing health and safety initiatives and continuous improvement using a strategic mindset.
- Provide support and assist with managing and resolving emergency situations.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Five (5) years of occupational health and safety experience in mining preferred
- Two (2) years of underground mining experience preferred
- Degree (BS or AS) in occupational health and safety or another relevant field preferred
- One (1) year of supervisory experience preferred
- MSHA instructor certification; surface and underground preferred
- Must be able to work in an underground mining environment
- Working knowledge of federal and state compliance regulations (e.g. MSHA and OSHA)
- Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)

H & S Advisors are appointed to advise General Managers and Managers in effectively managing health, safety for the Sites or departments for which they have responsibility and to assist them where appropriate. They are also responsible for establishing and maintaining the health and safety programs. Specifically, H & S Advisors are accountable for:
- Assisting Managing Director in developing and implementing Site health, safety and environmental procedures that conform to the requirements of the LMC Standards and Procedures.
- Providing H & S advice, support and assistance to the Site Managing Director and members of the site management team.
- Maintaining a risk assessment process for the site(s).
- Participating in the sharing of relevant information and resources across LMC.
- Acting as a part of the corporate H & S team and assisting in the further development of corporate HSEC standards and procedures and participate in H & S audits.
- Preparing H & S reports required by the Managing Director and the VP of H & S in a timely manner.
- Identifying training needs for employee groups within the operation and conducting training sessions as required
