General Warehouse Associate & Scrap Inventory Coordinator

We are seeking a motivated, reliable, and detail‑oriented individual to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate brings a positive, can‑do attitude, takes pride in producing quality work, and thrives in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
This position is responsible for a variety of warehouse functions including machine operation, order fulfillment, staging material, monitoring active jobs, pre‑shipment preparation, and shipping staging. In addition, this role serves as the primary coordinator for aluminum scrap inventory management, ensuring accurate tracking, organization, and reporting of scrap materials within the warehouse.
- Operate cutting machinery, saws, and other equipment as needed.
- Fulfill customer orders by pulling, staging, and preparing materials for shipment.
- Monitor active jobs to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality standards.
- Prepare materials for outbound shipments, including packaging, labeling, and staging.
- Assist with receiving, unloading, and organizing inbound materials.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Manage daily scrap metal operations within the warehouse.
- Track scrap by weight, alloy type, and storage location to ensure accurate internal reporting.
- Organize, sort, and stage scrap materials for vendor pickups.
- Maintain scrap storage areas to ensure safety, compliance, and efficient workflow.
- Communicate with warehouse leadership regarding scrap volumes, pickup schedules, and inventory needs.
- Operate forklifts and material‑handling equipment to move and load scrap materials safely.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and decision‑making abilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced warehouse setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and qualify to operate an overhead crane and forklift.
- Forklift experience preferred; willingness to obtain certification required.
- Experience in metals, aluminum, or cutting machinery is a plus but not required.
- Basic comfort with tracking weights, materials, or inventory data.
