A Water Restoration Technician is responsible for restoring a home or business to its pre-loss condition after a water damage incident. This may include water extraction, structural drying, demolition, dehumidification, and repairs. The technician must be knowledgeable of all applicable safety standards and must possess strong customer service skills. The successful candidate should be able to work independently with minimal supervision, have excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to lift and move heavy objects.
- Inspect damaged property to assess the extent of water damage
- Remove excess water from affected surfaces using pumps, extractors, and other equipment
- Set up fans and dehumidifiers to dry out the area
- Monitor drying process and adjust equipment settings as needed
- Perform mold remediation and removal
- Clean and sanitize affected areas
- Provide guidance and advice to property owners on how to prevent water damage in the future
- Knowledge of water damage remediation techniques
