Under the direction of a supervisor, the service technician will be responsible for maintaining and servicing multiple water plants throughout various industries located in the Mid Atlantic and Delmarva areas.
- Site specific labor and troubleshooting
- Maintaining water and chemical tank levels
- Servicing pumps
- Taking water samples and logging operational data
- Maintaining pre-treatment equipment as well as the water processing equipment
- Communicating with site operations
- Adhering to company safety policies
- Ordering parts and consumables
- Practicing jobsite and industrial hygiene
- In addition, the service technician will also perform duties that result from work scope changes.
GCS Water will provide in-the-field training supplemented with class training.
Typically, Monday through Friday but will include some weekends and possible holiday hours.
- Candidate must be able to stand or walk for long periods
- Lift and carry heavy (50lbs) objects utilizing arms, hands, feet, and legs
- Climb ladders, scaffolds, and work from heights
- Carry tools and equipment
- Crouch and crawl
- Pass a drug test
- Pass a background check and safety training (Basic Plus & Site-Specific Safety).
- Candidate must have a valid driver’s license, US citizenship and PPE (steel toe work boots).
