Diagnose and repair mechanical & electrical problems on fork trucks as well as to perform preventative maintenance on industrial equipment. We encourage applicants with any experience in heavy equipment repair to apply.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Perform mechanical repairs as needed on fork trucks, automotive & various industrial pieces of equipment.
- Ability to diagnose and repair issues with diesel, pneumatic, and hydraulics.
- Mechanical troubleshooting, periodic inspections and preventive maintenance of forklifts, industrial machinery, and vehicles.
- Use a variety of hand tools, power tools and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Evaluates faulty equipment & reports these and any unusual situations to the Facility Manager.
- Comply with OSHA safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- The ability to comprehend a parts breakdown list to assemble/disassemble equipment/machinery.

- High school diploma, general education degree (GED), technical school education; three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with overhead cranes, fabrication procedures, and machine setup is a plus.
- Use of hand tools, grinders, welders, cranes and aerial lifts.
- Occasional fabrication of parts and supports as needed using shop tools and welders.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- This position requires continuous work near heat, noise, gas, and chemicals. The position requires frequent lifting, climbing, standing, walking, crouching, squatting, bending and kneeling and ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
