What You'll Do:

- Travel and relocate for temporary assignments as rigs are moved; work intermittently for extended periods with minimal time off.

- Work on rig floor in tandem with Motorman, Derrickman, and Driller; assemble and disassemble drill pipe using ST-80 and tongs while tripping and making connections; work in tandem with rig crew and casing crew while running casing.

- Operate boom line, air hoist/hydraulic hoists to lift and move heavy supplies, equipment, and pipe.

- Move casing or drill pipe joints to and from pipe racks, catwalk, ramp, and rig floor as required.

- Check mud; carries 100-pound mud sacks from storage to hopper and mixes mud in hopper as directed.

- Repair drilling machinery, pumps, and derrick; racks tools, and cleans drilling floor around rig.

- Gather drill cutting samples for geologists' review.

- Perform routine and preventive rig servicing, repair, and maintenance, including scrubbing and painting, when operations do not require presence on rig floor.

- Assist in erecting and dismantling rigs and associated drill site systems.

What We're Looking For:

Required Education, Experience and/or Abilities

- High school diploma or equivalent education with six (6) months of current drilling experience; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

- Must be eighteen (18) years of age.

- English language fluency, verbal and written.

- Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.
