Fleet Mechanic

We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Fleet Mechanic in our Waukesha, WI location. This position is represented by Local 2006.

Job Responsibilities

This position is 2nd shift. The hours are 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm.

The Fleet Mechanic performs the following duties:

- Maintains, repairs, and services vehicles and equipment that are essential to other work groups to ensure that they are safe, functional, and available when needed and in accordance with DOT regulations

- Performing troubleshooting and diagnosing current or potential vehicle and equipment malfunctions

- Temporary or permanent repairs and component rebuilding on trucks, construction, automotive and auxiliary equipment

- Preventative maintenance

- Miscellaneous duties as required or assigned

Minimum Qualifications

- Applicant must have a minimum of two years experience as an automotive or truck mechanic within the past four years

- Applicant must have a valid driver's license and meet the company's requirements for driving

- Selected applicant must obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 90 days of entry into the job

- Applicant must comply with D.O.T. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) drug and alcohol testing requirements

Testing requirements

Construction and Skilled Trades (CAST) - Other level: Comprehension of pictured mechanical principles such as gears, levers, pulley systems, water flow, etc.; arithmetic skills in calculating distances shown in prints and drawings; and the ability to read and understand written material.

End Date: 12/03/2025

Minimum Posting Range: $39.43

Maximum Posting Range: $52.58

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
