The position is responsible for the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of fuel trucks and other support vehicles to ensure the safe and economical usage of vehicles.
- Apply strategies to ensure transportation needs are completed throughout the northern areas.
- Maintains a safe and secure work environment by establishing, following and enforcing company standards, and policies as well as other legal regulations (DOT, OSHA, DOL) to ensure the safety of all staff.
- Participates in the general leadership and management of the overall company operations.
- Provides advice to officers and other managers within the company.
- Involved in strategic planning and demonstrates a self-directed approach to completing work duties.
- Review/process purchase requisitions for parts and supplies; review vendor bid responses for tools, equipment, parts and services; monitor expenditures.
- Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of diesel automotive repair facility management.
- Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of large scale operations.
- Must have a comprehensive knowledge of business practices applicable to warehouse management.
- Ability to plan and supervise the work of others.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all customers.
