Job Title: Fleet and Marine Asset Specialist

Location: Travel required to various field locations Work Environment: Indoor and outdoor, including marine settings

Overview:

We are seeking a Fleet and Marine Asset Specialist to lead inspection programs and training initiatives for fleet vehicles, vessels, and equipment. This role ensures optimal asset condition through inspections, training, telematics monitoring, and physical inventory verification.

Key Responsibilities:

Training & Development:

•

Develop and deliver training programs for fleet and marine operators and mechanics

•

Create and maintain safety-focused training materials

•

Evaluate training effectiveness and improve learning outcomes

•

Support training rollouts in collaboration with internal and external partners

Inspection & Maintenance Programs:

•

Implement daily operator checks using CAT Inspect and QR codes

•

Promote preventative maintenance and proper asset care

•

Ensure routine inspections are completed and documented

Telematics & Reporting:

•

Monitor asset performance using telematics systems (e.g., CAT Telemetry, John Deere Link)

•

Analyze data to optimize usage and maintenance

•

Provide regular performance and condition reports

Inventory Verification:

•

Conduct physical inventory checks and maintain accurate asset records

•

Report discrepancies and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution

Required Skills & Experience:

•

Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new technologies

•

Experience in fleet or marine operations preferred

•

Effective communicator with strong organizational skills

•

Capable of conducting physical inspections and field work

•

Proficient in data analysis and reporting

•

Knowledge of CAT Inspect, QR code systems, and telematics platforms

Education & Certifications:

•

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

•

Certification in fleet management or related field (preferred)

•

Familiarity with industry best practices in preventative maintenance and asset care

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $34.00 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.50 per week

Schedule:

•
8 hour shift

Work Location: In person
