JOB OVERVIEW:
The Fleet Manager is responsible for planning, directing, managing, coordinating, and supervising the programs for acquisition, assignment, utilization, maintenance, repair, replacement, and disposal of all BLS and BLSE fleet vehicles. The fleet manager also serves as the primary contact concerning the vehicle fleet and operations. The Fleet manager must have excellent communication skills and be organized and detail oriented.
Requirements
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:•Oversee the entire fleet of vehicles and equipment, ensuring safe and reliable vehicles are available to meet operational requirements.
•Lead, develop, and mentor all fleet coordinators to ensure all fleet team members are executing responsibilities, achieving goals assigned, and are supporting all Company branches.
•Capital planning, including asset end-of-life planning and asset disposition.
•Monitor and drive utilization of all fleet assets; reposition assets as required to maintain profitable operations.
•Establish and monitor purchasing, operational, and replacement strategies and practices for the most cost-effective operation.
•Create vehicle purchase/lease specifications for all new vehicles/equipment and purchase vehicles.
•Understand warranty programs and coordinate invoices/repair orders to align with any work performed pertaining to the warranty.
•Conducts regular scheduled inspections and audits of vehicles and equipment to ensure compliance with maintenance, safety, and DOT requirements.
•Ensure all compliance filings related to fleet are completed timely with accuracy.
•Ensures that maintenance vendors adhere to established policies for inspection, maintenance, and repair of vehicles and equipment.
•Maintain professional relationships with vendors and continuously work to negotiate competitive pricing for services.
•Oversee reporting to local authorities in the event of accidents, theft, or other criminal activity.
•Investigate and evaluate the cause and extent of damage to equipment and vehicles involved in accidents and propose solutions to prevent accidents.
•Attend monthly safety meetings to maintain favorable working relationships among all employees.
•Coordinate with Safety Manager to monitor the effectiveness of relevant company programs by tracking and offering timely feedback to improve performance.
•Develop fleet training programs and policies to ensure compliance, safety, and maintenance are all meeting Company standards.
•Maintain all necessary documentation, including but not limited to, compliance, titles, financing, and other related documentation to Company fleet.
•Maintain fleet records in Company systems.
•Assist with HR and Field Operations for needed fleet, fleet equipment, and tools.
•Must be able to travel as needed to oversee multiple locations.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
•3-5 years experience in logistics, fleet management, or similar role.
•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Valid Driver’s License & clean driving record; CDL license helpful but not required.
•Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word/Excel/Outlook)
•Strong negotiator with prior experience managing vendor relationships.
•Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
•Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills.
•Exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with diverse personalities.
•Must be mechanically inclined and familiar with basic automotive maintenance.
•Able to speak, write, and read English.
•Able to lift, push, pull, and move at least 60 pounds

Salary Description
$75,000.00 to $83,000.00 annually
