Job Overview

Oklahoma Environmental Management Authority (OEMA) is seeking an experienced and dedicated Fleet Manager to oversee our fleet operations. The Fleet Manager in environmental management plays an important role in ensuring efficient and environmentally responsible transportation operations. This role focuses on managing a fleet of vehicles specifically used in environmental services, such as waste management, hazardous material transport, or ecological restoration projects, and must have Technical/Mechanical Experience.

Duties

•

Manage and coordinate all aspects of fleet operations, including vehicle acquisition, and maintenance

•

Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

•

Monitor fleet performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

•

Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs.

•

Collaborate with vendors and service providers to secure competitive pricing for fleet services.

•

Conduct regular audits of fleet operations to ensure adherence to safety standards and operational efficiency.

•

Train and supervise fleet personnel, providing guidance on best practices in vehicle management.

•

Prepare reports on fleet performance, costs, and operational issues for senior management review.

Experience

•

Proven experience as a Fleet Manager, environmental management is a plus

•

Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.

•

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

•

Proficient in using fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

•

Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

•

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and external partners.
