Fitter/Shop Labourer

Job description:

Qualifications

- Ability to use welding and fabrication tools such as torches, arc gouging equipment, drills, measuring tools etc.

- Experience with fabricating and assembling metal components an asset

- Familiarity with basic math calculations for measurements and dimensions

- Ability to follow work instructions, blueprint reading

- Ability to operate hand tools and other equipment

- Fitting experience an asset

- Good verbal & written communication skills

Duties

- Perform fitting tasks according to blueprints and specifications

- Operate cranes and rigging equipment to move heavy materials

- Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate measurements and dimensions

- Inspect finished products for quality and make necessary adjustments or repairs

- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines

- Work overtime as needed

- Perform other duties as assigned
