Fire Alarm Technician Apprentice

Job Summary: We are seeking an Alarm Technician Apprentice to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing alarm systems in residential and commercial settings. Duties: - Install, program, maintain, and repair security and fire alarm systems - Conduct system inspections and diagnostic tests - Collaborate with clients to determine their security needs and provide appropriate solutions - Ensure all work is in compliance with relevant codes and standards - Troubleshoot system issues and provide timely resolutions - Complete accurate documentation of all installations and repairs Skills: - Proficiency in using power tools for installation and maintenance tasks - Knowledge of construction inspection practices related to alarm systems - Experience with fire alarm systems and National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements - Ability to design alarm systems based on client specifications - Competence in using hand tools for intricate system adjustments - Strong electrical background with the ability to read schematics - Prior experience in field service for alarms or related systems - Attention to detail to detect system malfunctions accurately This position offers competitive pay, opportunities for skill development, and a dynamic work environment.
