Field Service Millwright / Industrial Mechanic – Aggregate Equipment

Work on rock crushers, screens, conveyors, bearings, shafts, and aggregate processing equipment. This is not diesel truck or yellow iron work. This is hands-on mechanical work inside our repair shops, crushing plants and gravel pits.

Westate Machinery has been serving the aggregate and mining industry since 1950. We are adding another full-time, year-round technician to our team due to growth.

This position is ideal for someone with mechanical ability who wants to build real skills working on heavy industrial equipment in the field and shop alongside experienced senior mechanics.

What you will actually do:

- Repair and maintain rock crushers, screens, and conveyors

- Replace bearings, belts, shafts, pulleys, and wear components

- Perform mechanical tear-downs and rebuilds

- Align components and troubleshoot mechanical failures

- Field service work at gravel pits and quarries around the region

- Light fabrication and welding as needed for repairs

- Operate forklift and crane for rigging and equipment handling

What we are looking for:

- Mechanically inclined person with tools

- Experience in industrial, farm, shop, or mechanical work preferred

- Comfortable working outdoors and in physically demanding environments

- Ability to lift 75 lbs and work safely around heavy equipment

- Willing to learn from experienced millwrights and mechanics

- Valid driver’s license (CDL helpful but not required to start)

This is not a “shop helper” position. You will be learning a skilled trade working on aggregate processing equipment that very few people know how to repair.

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
