The Sales Rep for Renewables candidate must live either in Northeast Ohio or on the West Coast. If located in Ohio, must have the ability to travel a minimum of 25% of the time to the West Coast, and be in the corporate office near Cleveland when not traveling for work. If living on the West Coast, must maintain a home office with the ability to travel a minimum of 75% of the time.
As a Sales Rep for Renewables, you will be responsible for selling the organization's Solar and EV products and services by interacting with established customers and developing new prospects in domestic markets. This sales position requires a broad knowledge of the organization's services, products, and marketing techniques and requires sales experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:
•Determines which key accounts offer the most potential for sales increase.
•Determines where the buying influences are.
•Establishes account coverage at the identified accounts.
•Coordinates routine and effective sales calls on the identified buying influences.
•Coordinates all product field trials and product demonstrations with the customer.
•Coordinates activities at trade shows including lead retrieval and follow up.
•Resolves all customer complaints regarding products or services.
•Assists finance department by contacting delinquent customer accounts when required.
•Coordinates effective working relationship with Distributor sales networks.
•Assists with identifying and investigating new product opportunities with customers.
•Works with Product Management and R&E as required to investigate market or product issues with customers.
•Effectively monitors period expenses and product samples.
•Provides sales forecasts when required.
•Communicates through timely trip reports or territory updates as required.
•Works to understand the markets to which PLP sells and promotes its products and how PLP products are used by its customers.
•Travels and works with other sales personnel to learn more about how PLP promotes and sells its products.
Qualifications & Requirements:
•High school diploma or equivalent. Sales courses or college degree desired
•2 to 5 years of previous successful field sales experience, outside plant construction experience, and/or engineering related experience preferably in the markets PLP serves
•Above average construction, electrical and mechanical knowledge
•Ability to use a computer and applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
