Onward Survey and Land Services is seeking a Renewable Land Negotiator to support Renewable Solar and Wind projects in New York State. This role involves direct engagement with landowners to secure contracts for solar development. We are looking for a motivated professional with strong communication skills, a deep understanding of land acquisition, and the ability to build lasting relationships with landowners in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct landowner outreach and negotiations to secure land agreements for renewable energy projects.
- Clearly explain contract terms, project benefits, and long-term land use agreements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, ensuring a respectful and transparent negotiation process.
- Navigate title, lease agreements, and right-of-way considerations in compliance with New York land laws.
- Work collaboratively with project managers and legal teams to streamline contract execution.
- Maintain accurate records of negotiations and agreements.
Qualifications:
- Experience in land acquisition, leasing, or right-of-way negotiations, preferably in energy, renewables, or infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of New York landowner culture and local land use laws.
- Ability to travel within New York area as needed to meet with landowners.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
