Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding various metal components to create high-quality products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of welding techniques and metal fabrication processes, along with the ability to work with precision tools and machinery. This position requires attention to detail and a commitment to safety standards. We specialize in welding/fabrication for the refractory field so additional knowledge in this area is a plus.
- Utilize hand tools and machinery to assemble metal components according to specifications.
- Perform welding and soldering tasks on various materials, ensuring strong and durable joints.
- Operate forklifts and cranes for the movement of materials and finished products within the facility.
- Work with various metals to fabricate parts, ensuring accuracy with measurement tools.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot fabrication issues and improve processes.
- Proven experience in welding and metal fabrication
- Familiarity with operating forklifts
- Strong skills in using hand tools for assembly and fabrication tasks
- Experience with a variety of metals
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality control and safety
We are not a warehouse/assembly line setting. The majority of our work is special projects. We work in an open shop and we work as a team to ensure organization, safety, and productivity. Position is typically M-F approx 7a-4p. At times, some over-time hours may be optional, but not required. Opportunities for travel/on-site work may arise. We may request an on-site weld test during the interview process. Candidate should be able to pass drug screenings.
