Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, with a strong understanding of construction and manufacturing environments. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.
- Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on various materials including sheet metal and pipe.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate components according to specifications.
- Conduct assembly of fabricated parts and ensure quality control throughout the fabrication process.
- Operate cranes and forklifts safely for material handling and movement within the work area.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while ensuring high-quality standards.
- Proven experience in a fabrication or welding role within a construction or manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, stick welding, and plasma cutting techniques.
- Familiarity with mechanical knowledge including the use of calipers, micrometers, and basic math skills for measurements.
- Ability to operate machinery such as press brake machines and perform soldering tasks.
- Understanding of ASME codes & standards related to fabrication and welding processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues during fabrication.
- Experience with rigging practices and safety measures in a construction environment is preferred.
